New York · Business trip
A "business hotel" filter on most sites just means "has a desk." StayRank AI instead re-weights its entire real scoring formula toward what a work trip actually needs, and shows you the exact numbers that changed.
Every hotel already has a real Wi-Fi and transit-access score computed the same way for every traveler. Selecting the Business persona doesn't change those scores - it changes how much they count toward the final ranking:
| Metric | Default weight | Business weight |
|---|---|---|
| Wi-Fi | 3 | 11 |
| Transit access | 18 | 22 |
Every other metric (quiet, cleanliness, room size, value) keeps its normal weight - this isn't a separate "business hotels" list, it's the same real hotel data, re-ranked.
A property either has real Wi-Fi/transit facts or it doesn't - tagging a hotel "business-friendly" doesn't change what's actually near it. Re-weighting the real, already-computed metrics means the ranking responds to what you told it matters, without needing a separate curated "business" hotel category that may or may not reflect this specific trip.

Search New York business hotels →No - it re-weights the same real hotel data rather than filtering anything out. A hotel with weaker Wi-Fi/transit scores can still appear, just ranked lower.
The Decision Model panel in the app shows the live weight table after you pick a traveler type, so the change isn't hidden inside the ranking - you can see exactly what shifted.
